Both Lodges and Breakaway access 82 acres of skiable terrain, 2 quad chairlifts, 2 double chairlifts and 1 surface lift. Wolf Ridge Ski Resort has 100% snowmaking capability and can serve 5,500 customers per hour.

Something that sets Wolf Ridge Ski Resort apart from any other ski resort in North Carolina is our two large ski lodges with great places to eat and warm up beside a roaring fire.

Our 22,000 sq. ft., glass and timber Upper Lodge, located near Scenic Wolf Resort and near the top of the slopes, has a commanding view of the mountains and valleys below. Built to accommodate families and walk-in guests at the resort, the Upper Wolf Ridge Lodge offers lift tickets/area passes, shaped ski and snowboard rentals and bib and locker rentals. All lift tickets/area passes are good for all slopes at the expanded Wolf Ridge Ski Resort. Warm up and relax at The Upper Lodge around the large fireplace or visit the gift shop. There is ample room for families and guests to relax.

Groups visiting Wolf Ridge Ski Resort will check-in at the Lower Wolf Ridge Lodge, our large rustic lodge nestled at the bottom of the slopes. This lodge houses the Wolf Ridge Grill where visitors to the mountain are served breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Lower Lodge features a sport shop, conference room, rental shop with shaped skis, snowboards, bib rentals and lockers. There are three large fireplaces where guests can warm up and a large viewing deck and glassed viewing area where family members – not braving the elements – may sit and watch the action on the slopes. All groups visiting the resort will check-in at the Group Sales Office at the Lower Lodge (see directions).

Breakaway Village is the home of our
new terrain park, Park Place, and our new ˝ mile run,
Boardwalk. Take the new ski tunnel down into Breakaway where
you’ll find some great places to grab a quick bite and warm up a bit.
Boardwalk Grill
Get a hamburger, fries, sandwich, or wrap at the Boardwalk grill. Coming this winter, this
grill will be located at the base of the Boardwalk ski run. Make sure you try our famous
fried pickles too.
Cool Beans Ice Cream & Coffee Shoppe
Drop by Cool Beans, Breakaway's ice cream and coffee shoppe, to enjoy a hot
cup of coffee, hot chocolate or a cold treat. Located in Breakaway Village.
